Everyone at the table shares the same secret location and a role there. Everyone, that is, except the Spy, who hasn't a clue where they are. The rest fire pointed questions to flush out the Spy without ever saying the location aloud, while the Spy bluffs along and tries to figure out where the heck everyone is.
Spyfall is a quick, host-free party game of questions and bluffs. At the start of a round every player gets a card. They all show the same secret LOCATION (say, 'Casino' or 'Submarine') and a flavour ROLE to go with it, except for the one player dealt the 'Spy' card. An eight-minute timer starts and players take turns grilling each other about the place. Non-spies have to sound convincing enough to prove they belong, yet stay vague enough not to gift the location to the Spy. The Spy answers and asks questions of their own while hiding the fact that they're flying blind, all the while listening for clues to the location. Anyone can stop the timer to accuse another player of being the Spy, and if everyone else agrees, the accused flips their card. The Spy, for their part, can halt the game at any moment to declare and guess the location. Play runs over several short rounds and points stack up.
Everyone but the Spy. They all know the secret location and each hold a flavour role there, and they work together to question the Spy out into the open without ever naming the location.
WinAccuse and convict the real Spy by unanimous vote. You have to do it before the Spy guesses the location, and before the clock runs out with the Spy still hidden.
One player who has no idea where they are (occasionally two at higher counts, as an optional variant). The Spy bluffs through questions and answers to dodge suspicion, mining everyone's replies for hints about the location.
WinWin by lasting until time runs out without being convicted. You can also stop the game to correctly guess the location, or goad the non-spies into convicting an innocent player.
